Free Pump Trials Demonstrate Peristaltic Benefits
Minimising downtime is massively important to production companies, because downtime results in lost revenue. In a great many pump applications, the pumps in use are problematic because they are just not suitable for the application. This may be due to chemical attack on component parts, gas locking, abrasive wear or a number of other factors. With flow rates from microlitres per minute up to 80m3/h and delivery pressures up to 16bar, plus a wide variety of tube materials including fluoroelastomers and thermoplastics, Watson-Marlow Bredel peristaltic pumps suit tough applications, where previously diaphragm, progressive cavity or gear pumps were employed.
The pumps do not require additional seals and check valves for their operation. They also self-prime and will safely run dry. At the end of a shift or when a different duty fluid is used, the tube can be removed and replaced within minutes. A new tube creates a new pump. A five-year warranty provided with many of the pumps offered.
